Peechinga Chutney | Ridge Gourd Chutney

- 1. Ridge gourd - 1 Cup - Chopped
- 2. Peeled black gram (Urd dal/ ഉഴുന്ന് പരിപ്പ്) - 1/4 Teaspoon
- 3. Red chilly - 2 No
- 4. Curry leaves - 6 Leaves
- 5. Shallots - 1/2 Cup - Chopped
- 6. Garlic - 1 Teaspoon - Chopped
- 7. Green chilly - 2 Nos
- 8. Tamarind (വാളൻ പുളി) - 1/4 Teaspoon
- 9. Salt
- 10. Vegetable oil - 2 Teaspoon
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan and splutter black gram.
- Add red chilly and fry for few seconds.
- Add ridge gourd, shallots, green chilly, garlic, curry leaves and salt and saute for around 2 minutes.
- Switch off the flame and allow the mixture to cool down in room temperature.
- Grind the mixture with tamarind and serve.
