Ingredients

  • 1. Cleaned dried prawns - 1/3 Cups (Unakka Konju/ Unakka Chemmen)
  • 2. Coconut - 1/2 Cup - Grated (Thenga)
  • 3. Shallots - 6 Nos - (Chuvannulli)
  • 4. Dried red chilly - 7 Nos (Unakka mulak)
  • 5. Tamarind - 1/2 Teaspoon (Vaalan puli)
  • 6. Salt - As required

Instructions

  1. Dry roast prawns, shallots and red chilly together till prawns become roasted well.
  2. Cool the prawns mixture to room temperature and grind to a smooth consistency with all other ingredients without adding water.
