Maanthalir Chammanthi | Maavila Chammanthi | Mango Leaf Chammanthi Recipe

Maanthalir Chammanthi is a very nutritional Chammanthi. Maanthalir means Baby Mango Leaf. You have to use baby/ tender mango leaves for this recipe. Baby mango leaves will have a light brown or pale greenish yellow color. ‘Maavila’ is the grown mango leaf. Ypu have to use Maanthalir instead of Maavila for this recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1. Baby mango leaves - 5 Nos
  • 2. Ginger - 1 Small piece
  • 3. Shallots - 5 Small
  • 4. Green chili - 1 Small (adjust to taste)
  • 5. Curry leaves - 5 leaves
  • 6. Salt - To taste
  • 7. Scraped coconut - 1/2 Cup

Instructions

1. Grind all ingredients together without adding water.
2. Add few drops of coconut oil to enhance the taste after grinding.
